| Our second annual Can-Am was a good meet. We had 23 lifters including six from Anaconda, Mt. A big thanks to Bob Murretta for bringing down 5 fine lifters besides himself. Even though we didn't have a number of our Magic City Muscle team competing, we still had a good team effort. Linda Abel, M2 132 lb class, had 3 American records in unequipped powerlifting. Linda had a 137 squat, 88 bench and a 187 deadlift for a 413 total. The squat,deadlift and total are American records in women's M2(50-59). Linda is 58 years old. WOW! In equipped powerlifting, Gary Clock M2 220, finally made his first 600 squat, he had an American record 441 bench press and a 562 deadlift for an American record 1604 lb total. Gary is 57 years old. |
